First-Time Setup

When you sign in for the first time, Scolah walks you through a short onboarding flow to get you set up.

Onboarding steps

1. Create a family group

A family group links you to your children and any co-parents you want to invite.

1. On the onboarding screen, tap Create family.
2. Give the family a name (e.g. “The Smith Family”).
3. Tap Continue.

2. Add your first child

1. Tap Add a child.
2. Fill in the child’s details:
   • Name (required)
   • Date of birth (required)
   • Gender (optional)
   • School (optional)
   • Allergies or medical notes (optional)
3. Add a profile photo by tapping the camera icon (optional).
4. Tap Save.

Tip

You can always update or add more children later from the Family tab.

3. Enable notifications

Scolah will ask permission to send push notifications. Tap Allow to receive reminders, activity updates from school, and milestone alerts.

You can change notification preferences any time in your device’s Settings → Scolah.

After setup

Once onboarding is complete you’ll land on the Home dashboard with your child’s card visible. From here you can:

• Tap the + button to log your first activity.
• Tap your child’s card to view their full profile.
• Explore the bottom tabs: Home, Activities, Family, and Profile.
